I just wanted to post this, interesting.

I just wanted to post this interesting tidbit. I have been using HootSuite as my twitter client for awhile and I have left it gone to various other twitter client  and found that I had to down load other applications to make it work.

Some were okay but for my PC those apps required Adobe Air and it was a memory hog for my PC.  Now I am not saying that it won’t work for you but for me at this time those apps were just too heavy loaded.

So I needed something a little lighter for the time moment and HootSuite is filling the bill.

Hootsuite has none of that as a matter of fact this new feature has been added my ability to post to my blog from the HootSuite client with out logging into my blog directly, among a few others. It also has an Iphone application for using your Iphone to tweet with on Twitter.

You have to go to the site just click the logo here and view the video tour.

No for some that may be problematic but for me it is just great. I feel comfortable doing this as Hootsuite manages my twitter accounts and Facebook Page. Now I will be experimenting with this because I need to know does it allow for videos and images to be posted? It is still in Beta so I am sure they will be tweaking some items based on what we Beta Testers let the know for now.

I am gong to King Fu Fight my way around HootSuite for awhile, lol!

Come check it out its a hoot!

Look who will turn 40?

Did you happen to see Google’s home page yesterday?  I thought it was quite cute the legs of Big Bird replaced the “L” in the word Google. Google has always amazed me with their creativity and why not, this  is what they are about, being creative and cutting edge.

Big Bird

I thought to myself something must be going on.  On November 10th ,2009 Sesame Street will be 40 years old what a history. Wow, that is a long time for a educational TV show to be airing. Talk about content and keeping up with the times.  Content is a subject bloggers  are faced with in every blog, good content.

Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente state, “When you turn on your TV on November 10,  “You’ll see a brand-new and spectacularly beautiful opening sequence. We’re also launching an entirely new format for the show — the magazine format of Sesame Street, which has been evolving over the years, has been officially replaced with what we’re calling a ‘block’ format. And it’s just wonderful.”

I remember watching Sesame Street as a kid. Ugh, I drastically dislikedOscar, the grouch Oscar the grouch in his trash can throwing trash everywhere. Even with that it made me aware of many things green, lol! I always thought that Big Bird was just to big for me but gave him his props. Elmo has been a big hit with the kids. I remember the toy Tickle Me Elmo drove me nuts but the kids loved em and the toy wasn’t aimed at adults although I know a few adults that bought the toy for themselves, hmmm. He brought out the child in many!

bert-and-ernie

Ernie and Bert, what pals, and of course we can’t forget Cookie Monster that blue fella. Who couldn’t love him eating chocolate chip cookies and throwing around everywhere. Brings back childhood memories.

Google hasn’t forgotten him either while using his big eyes to represent the “O’s” in the world Google for today’s home page. I love it. I suppose that everyday up to Sesame Streets anniversary on the 10th we will see some creative endeavor by Google to represent this auspicious occasion.

First Lady Michelle Obama will be airing on the show on the 10th. I think I’ll turn in for the birthday celebration. Come join me and sing along.

WTG Google! Congratulations Sesame Street!

Stop Poverty Day!

Trying out a new application

I am trying out a new widget. It’s called Skribit and it is a survey type of application for me to ask my readers what they would be interested in getting my views about or would like me to blog about. Head on over to my blogtalkradio blog called INFO4URADIO and give it a try and let me know what you think. It’s in the left hand navigation area. Don’t forget to bookmark the blog so you can come back and make suggestions anytime. We would love to hear your suggestions.

Teens and their cell phones

Okay look out this is not the only place this is happening but in Columbus, OH teens are sending nude photos of themselves or in compromising positions to each other. Now if this isn’t bad enough these pictures are being spread all over facebook, myspace, emailed to anyone who will take a look see.

I was watching for a minute the Tyra show the other day and saw teens on talking about kids in some high schools having sex in the bathrooms, classrooms with the teacher being asleep, stairwells. Besides the drugs, gambling, and killings at high schools now we have nude pictures being sent everywhere possible.

To top it off a raping, I read about was on this past Friday at a Cleveland High School. All I can say is be aware and alert to these things as much as you can for your children or children in your family. If you have a teen or know a teen talk to em they need us too.

They may play like the don’t and say, “Whatever, yeah right” but they are glad and are asking for us as adults to listen up and help. Speaking as a parent I just had to say this.

Looking out for kids check out this video below.

Question of the day?

Have you hugged you kid today, if applicable?
