Grand Theft Auto 4, What gives?

Okay the only reason I am blogging about this one is that I was at the 12MID launch of this game out on XBOX 360 at Gamestop, for with my age appropriate teenager to get this game. The last time I stood in line for such a thing was when the Gameboy first came out . Brother the things parents will do for their kids.

I thought heck no one is going to be there. Please was that an understatement. It just amazes me that so many people are interested in these games I guess they don’t call it a million plus dollar industry for nothing, huh? I need to buy stock in these video game companies, honestly.

Well to boot we had to go back home because my age appropriate teenager forgot his receipt. Can you say anger, disgust, and very sleepy. Yes my teenager owes me big, lol! But I digress. After all this it seems from the explanation my teenager gave me about the wonders of this new game. The reviews are quite mixed and not as astounding as Rockstar thought it would be. Darn it I could of stayed in bed! LOL! My teenager told me that there is more territory to cover in the game, graphics are better, you can even travel on the subway, and so much more just check out the link and you can find out all about it.

My question still remains was it so important that mother had to be out at 12MID for it? I will get back with ya on that one. UGH!!! 🙂

Craiglist vs eBay or eBay vs Craiglist!

Well it’s time for me to update my blog and boy is there a lot in the world going on.

What is going on here? Another lawsuit we face on 4-22-08 with Craiglist and eBay.  Seems that Craiglist is saying this is “unethical” and is unfounded”. Delaware’s Court of Chancery Tuesday, alleging that Craigslist’s board of directors has entered into transactions that have “unfairly diluted eBay’s economic interest in Craigslist by more than 10 percent.”

Craiglist owner says this was out of the blue no dialogs from eBay about any of these. I just shake my head at all of the legalities we can really never know what goes on behind the scenes of big corporations. Can it be better to sometimes not even want to know about all this? I suppose if you hold stock in eBay or Craiglist it would be of importance to you.  But for most it goes on the list full of other lawsuits that come and go in the wind. One thing is for sure Craiglist is a biggie so big that eBay decided to have part ownership even if it is a minority investment of 28.4%. The eBay administration felt that Craiglist was a company worth benefiting from or they never would of bought it. As we know there have been talk over the years of eBay taking over Craiglist but only the paint and flies on the wall really know what really is cooking.

Bloggers are coming to the rescue for Craiglist stating its the competion factor and should Craiglist be really so concerned about minority shareholders, and the success of Craiglist or better yet competition is causing such a lawsuit. Bloggers are telling the Craiglist to hang in there they will come out shinning.

Here’s something to think about sue the company that you are a shareholder with. Now how does that sit with you?

Check out the tainted sorted details here.

What is your point of view?

Well we know the universe knows about this one for about over a week the Texas polygamist issue. I have debated about blogging about this being a child advocate my concern is for the children. We have heard from the mothers but nothing so far as I have seen from the fathers. Why?

There are many lawyers, celebrities coming to the rescue of these children. With the DNA testing that has begun only one can wonder the fate of these children. Foster care, adoption, placement back with their parents only God knows. But I know this that no matter what happens children will be hurt in this process and they didn’t asked to be in the first place.

Check out this news casting. I will be updating on this situation.

Here’s the latest update from ABC news about the children:

Pres Poll

Today and AP reported wrote an article on the Presidential race. Now despite all the rumblings going on with all the candidates from what I have gathered is that Obama’s popularity and likability has sored among voters. Basically more and more voters are feeling that he can win over McClain in the presidential race over Clinton.

From the article: Yahoo News

Those rating him as “not at all honest,” for example, jumped from 18 percent last fall to 27 percent in April. It came as he was put on the defensive over incendiary comments by his former pastor. But many holding such views are Republicans or conservative independents, who would be unlikely to vote in a Democratic primary or support a Democrat in the fall, anyway.

The most encouraging sign for Obama is that many Democrats who previously saw Clinton as their party’s best hope now give him that role. About one-third of them still prefer Clinton, but they have lost confidence in her electability.

It is interesting none the less to see that voters are ,as the election time countdown is narrowing, taking a more overall concerted look at the election of who is the best candidate to win over McClain.

April 16th National Walk Day!

Yesterday was the 2nd annual Start Walking Day! So we are on day two of an annual quest. I never knew they had such a thing but I commend the American Heart Association. Considering that Americans have gained over last year 20% more weight buy spending 30 mins a day that is all just 30 minutes you can start on the way to improving your cardiac rate.

Heres what they say:

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer in the U.S. And physical inactivity doubles the risk. Start! walking and start reducing your risk.

You can support the fight against heart disease by participating in National Start! Walking Day, Wednesday, April 16.

On this special day:

  • Show your support and wear your sneakers to work.
  • Take a 30-minute walk during the day.
  • Make your pledge to live a longer, healthier life.
  • Get involved in our goal to reach a million miles walked and a million dollars donated by the end of the day.*
