I posted a blog on May 16th about a 13 year old girl that committed suicide due to a MySpace relationship she developed with a fraudulent MySpacer. Here is the update so far about it.
It seems that Lori Drew, 49, a neighbor of the deceased teen, has so far avoided state charges — but not federal ones.
Missouri police didn’t file any charges against Drew in part because there was no applicable state law. In response to the case, Missouri legislators gave final approval to a bill making cyber harassment illegal.
The charges were filed in California where MySpace is based.

This case as unfortunate as it is maybe open to some challenges.
